Cor Musica is an a cappella quintet based in Iowa City, and currently features Christopher Dyer, Elizabeth Dyer, Tom Gehlbach, Amandine Mothershed and Lisa Peperkorn.
Founded in May 2001, this chamber ensemble draws from an eclectic repertoire of original, contemporary, popular, and traditional choral literature. All members of Cor Musica have “day jobs," but relish getting together to sing everything from the seamless harmonies of Palestrina’s Sicut Cervus to Sting’s Straight to my Heart.
Elizabeth, director and founding member of Cor Musica, has been on a sabbatical in Ireland, researching Jesuit dramas via a Fullbright scholarship, but now she's back and will be joining Cor Musica for a couple of pieces in their upcoming concert. Read more about her Ireland adventures here...
